Thanks to my dad and other family members, I have been fishing and hunting almost my entire life. It has truly been a gift that has enriched my life and made me who I am today. I currently reside in Massachusetts, were I have been living for all of my 41 years. I have many great memories both fishing and hunting, most of which that were experienced right here in New England.
I have been blessed as well to experience some of these memories outside of the North East, such as Canada and Alaska.
A few years ago I started writing a book (The Gift) of my experiences growing up in the outdoors. It was more of a gift to my dad, who spent his whole life fishing and hunting as well as passing it down to his sons. When my dad became ill last year after his heart surgery, I gave him the rough drafts for him to read, just to help distract him from his daily health struggles. Although I am still adding and editing some of these "journal" type entries, I am going to periodically post a new but random section from "The Gift" into this Blog .
